Ms. Bernardine F. Hayes, a resident of Quincy for more than 30 years, died at her home on Saturday, June 27, 2009. She was 69 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 29, 1939, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert E. and Mary A. (Tague) Hayes. Ms. Hayes worked as a broker in Real Estate for many years and was a Systems Analyst for the Transportation Industry. She had been an active member of her community and was an advocate for the Massachusetts Association for the Blind. She enjoyed extensive travel all over the world, especially to China. She had visited China five times in recent years.
She will be sorely missed by two sisters; Mary Beth Hayes of Medford and Kathleen Talbot of Manomet one brother; Robert E. Hayes of Kingston, N.H. and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Visiting hours were held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Monday from 3 to 6:30 PM. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended. Her funeral service was held Monday, following the visitation, at 6:30 PM. Interment will be held at a later date.
