DRACUT - Jennie M. (Panagopoulos) Fafalios, age 76, a well known pastry chef in Lowell, diedThursday evening, July 24, at the Lowell General Hospital, after a brief illness. She was the wifeof Anthony E. Fafalios, with whom she had celebrated a 33rd wedding anniversary this past April16th.
She was born in Lowell, Oct. 26, 1926, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Martha (Petroulas)Panagopoulos. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School. She lived formore than 20 years in Chelmsford before moving to Dracut 12 years ago.
Along with her husband, she was the co-owner of Anthony’s Pastry Shop in Lowell.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Joanne Kryicos of Lowell, a son, GeorgeCronopulos of Shrewsbury, a sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Theodore Tgebedis ofDracut, four brothers and six sisters-in-law, Paul and Lillian Panagopoulos of Lowell, George andJennie Panagopoulos of Dracut, William and Sophia Panas of NH, Theodore and ElainePanagopoulosof NH, Lorraine Panagopoulos of Lowell, and Jackie Panas of FL, along withnumerous nieces and nephews, both here in the U.S. and in Greece.
She was also sister of the late Angie Couris, Helen Shea, Anthony Panagopoulos, LouisPanagopoulos, and Charles Panas.
Her Funeral was held Monday, July 28, in the Holy Trinity HellenicOrthodox Church, Lewis St. Lowell. Interment was in Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
