Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at University Hospital, Mrs. Jeanne Stulb Marsh, 81, wife of Dewey B. Marsh. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter: Abbie M. Pumarejo, (Francisco) of Copenhagen, Denmark, Marian G. Wielinga (Roel) of Thomson, GA and Phyllis A. Marsh of Thomson; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother: George M. Stulb of Washington, DC and sister: Margie Ruli of New Orleans, LA.
Mrs. Marsh was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a Sister with the Order of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 20 years and an RN who helped open St. Joseph Hospital in 1951. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She worked with her husband at their family business; Ye Olde Watch Shoppe. Mrs. Marsh was a longtime co-chair of the seeing and hearing committee of the Fleming Lions Club. She was a loving and supportive wife, a devoted and unselfish mother and grandmother.
A Cremation Memorial Mass will be held Monday, July 6, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. John Lyons celebrant. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends after the service in the Narthex of the church.
