Mrs. Betty Jean Cosby Crogan, 78, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital – NMS in Oxford, MS. She was born in Batesville, MS to the late Johnny and Lois Sturgis Cosby. She was an accounting Clerk for Trailways for many years. She was a member of the Sylva Rena Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS.
The visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS on Friday, July 3, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. until service time. The funeral service will be held in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 2:00 a.m. with Rev. Calvin Miller presiding. The committal will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery with Roy Vance, Danny Holland, Jordan Duncan, Travis Brooks, Ronnie Cosby, and Richard Walker serving as pallbearers. Mr. Edwin Bonner will be an honorary pallbearer.
Mrs. Crogan is survived by her daughter-in-law, Teresa Crogan Eakin with husband Vince of Water Valley, MS and two grandcats.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Joseph Crogan; son, Michael Patrick Crogan; one sister and one brother.
