Molly Anne (Hessian) Murphy, 44, of 99 Waite Street died Monday, June 29 in her home after a long battle with Cancer and Multiple Sclerosis.
She leaves her husband of 25 years Laurence J. Murphy, III, a son Laurence J. Murphy, IV of Fort Monmouth, N.J., a daughter Emily M. Murphy of Spencer, a granddaughter Jasmine Hunter, Her father James Hessian of Richmond, VA, her mother Susan Geldert of Babylon, N.Y., three sisters Amy Stewart of Beaverdam, VA, Maggie Harrington and Lindsay Cucchiaro both of Miller Place, N.Y., and several nieces and nephews.
Molly was born in Islip, New York. She worked for the U.S. Federal Government for 10 years. She served in the U.S. Army for 4 years while serving in the Army she met her husband and became an Army wife. Molly and her family were stationed in various locations including Alaska, Alabama and Indiana before moving to Leicester 8 years ago. She enjoyed fishing, crafts, computer games, skiing, hunting and gardening. She loved being a grandmother.
A Memorial service will be held Monday, July 6 at 2:00 PM in MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will be at the convenience of the Family.
