Whitman – Kathleen M. (Egan) Harkins 67 died Tuesday June 30 in her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Charles Harkins.
Born in Boston and raised in Roxbury she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Garrity) Egan and a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School.
Kathleen had been a resident of Whitman for the past forty-five years and had retired in 1999 from Verizon Phone after twenty-five years of service.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Cheryle Fisher and her husband Damon of Carver, Michael Harkins of Whitman, Donna St. Onge and her husband Arthur of Middleboro, and Kevin Harkins and his wife Sandra of Halifax, her brothers James Egan of Carver and William Egan of Whitman, and her sister Carol Freeman of Florida. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren Damon, Erika, McKayla, AJ, Chuckie, Vinny, Nick, Sean, and Kaylan as well as several nieces and nephews.
