
Angelina (Vacca) D'Orsi, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. , formerly of Medford, died Friday at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale. She was 83.
Born in Avellino, Italy, Angelina was the daughter of the late Michele and the late Rosa (Rossetti) Vacca. A resident of Boston’s North End, Malden and Medford throughout her life, Angelina lived in Florida seasonally for 30 years. In her younger years she worked as a seamstress and also helped her husband at his Harvard Pastry Shops in Malden and Medford. A wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Angelina was a great caregiver and provider for her family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph. She was a devoted mother to John D'Orsi and his wife Janet of Stoneham, Joseph D'Orsi and his wife Valarie, Rosalee D’Orsi, all of Revere and the late Mary Ann LeBlanc-D’Orsi. She was a loving grandmother to Kristin, Alison, Sheli, Alex, Jordan and Jesse. She was a loving great-grandmother of Samantha, Taylor, Shawna and dear sister of Louis Vacca, Rose Marie Bucceri, Anna Roberto and the late Antonio Vacca.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, Beach St., Revere, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 3 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
