Obituary

Omer A. Hetu 81, of Privilege St. died Monday in the RI Veteran Hospital. He was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Elphege and Corona (Salvas) Hetu. He was a boiler tender for the former Woonsocket Hospital for seven years before retiring in 1992. Mr. Hetu was a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by two sons Brother Raymond Hetu SC of England, and Donald Hetu of FL, two daughters Jeannine Roux and Lori Cardin both of N. Providence, a brother William Hetu of Lower Burrell, PA. and nine nieces and nephews. He was the proud grandfather of Sarah Beth Cardin, William Roux, and Alexandra Roux. Mr. Hetu was also the brother of the late
Lionel Hetu, George Hetu, Paul Hetu and Gloria Pleau.

His funeral will be held Wednesday from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with visitation from 10-11 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
