Miss Elaine T. McMahon, of Taunton, died Monday, June 29 in Morton Hospital
following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late William G. and
Florida (Cote) McMahon. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city
resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a salesclerk for the former
Caldor’s Department Store in Taunton for 18 years. She had previously been employed
as a dental assistant for Dr. F.B. Hamel in Taunton for 28 years. Miss McMahon enjoyed
cooking and spending time with her friends. She was a communicant of St. Jude the
Apostle Church.

Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street,
on Thursday, July 2, at 10:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the
Apostle Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and
friends are invited to attend. A Visiting Hour will precede the funeral on Thursday, from
9:00 to 10:00 A.M.
