COOPER, ROSALIE (CAVELIUS) – Of West Roxbury, June 26, 2009, Age 91, formerly of Quincy. Devoted wife of the late George W. Cooper and beloved mother of Peter and his wife Patricia of Needham, Rosalie (Lee) Butler of Somersworth, NH and George Jr. of Townsend. Loving grandmother of Michael Butler of San Jose, CA, Jennifer Marr of Rollinsford, NH, Mark Butler of Dorchester, and Jonathan Cooper of Needham. Proud great grandmother of Nicholas Marr, Krista Marr, and Neil Butler. Rosalie was a life long and devoted parishioner of Holy Trinity (German) Church in the South End until its closure last year. In addition to participation in many parish activities and organizations including, especially, the Frauenbruderschaft (Ladies Sodality), she served as parish secretary through the 1990s and into the new century. She retired from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in 1983 where she had worked many years as a supervisor in the Boston home office. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Thursday July 2, 2009 at 9am. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery.
