Obituary

Pauline (Rocha) Gaj, 69, of New Bedford, died January 10, 2002 at home after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She was the wife of Stanley Gaj and daughter of the late Joseph and Evangeline (Martin) Rocha.

Mrs. Gaj was born in New Bedford and lived in New Bedford all of her life.

She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

Mrs. Gaj was formerly employed by Colonial Textile for over 25 years before helping her husband in the family business, Gaj Industries.

She was a former member of the Panthers Golden Agers Club and enjoyed travel, reading and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Paula Sitarz, and her husband Michael, of Dartmouth; 4 brothers, Leonard Rocha, and his wife Carol, Gregory Rocha, and his wife Kathy, and Daniel Rocha, all of New Bedford; Paul Rocha, and his wife Margie, of Framingham; a sister, Lillian Tremblay of Middleboro; 2 grandchildren, Andrew Michael Sitarz and Kate Elizabeth Sitarz, both of Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Edmund Rocha, Joseph Rocha and Evangeline Correia.

Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordSaturday, January 12th at 8 AM.Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours are omitted.

Interment Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
