Charlotte R. (Morris) Basile, 67, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at her home. She was the beloved wife for 43 years of Michael E. Basile Jr.
She was born in Winchester on May 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Charlotte R. (Curley) Morris Sr. She was employed as an Accounts Payable Manager at Harris Environmental Systems company in Andover for 26 years. She was a communicant of St. Augustine Church in Andover, and loved gardening, knitting and crafts.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Michael E. Basil III of Laconia, NH, Paul M. Basile and his wife Michelle of Methuen; two daughters, Christine M. McDonnell and her husband Steven of Andover, Minnesota, and Catherine M. Jurgen and her husband Mark of Tewksbury; four grandchildren, Jonathan and Ryan Basile, Ian and Luke McDonnell; three brothers, Thomas F. Morris of Beverly, Richard A. Morris and his wife Eileen of Woburn, Steven J. Morris of Woburn; one sister, Carolyn T. Lenhoff and her husband Joseph of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also sister of the late Paul E. Morris.
Many relatives and friends attended her Funeral Mass, celebrated Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover. At her request there were no visiting hours and committal was private.
