Obituary

Beulah M. (Varney) Brown, 92, of Medway, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of Arthur M. Brown who died in 2000.

Born in Portsmouth, NH on February 16, 1917, she was a daughter of the late William and Eva (Hatt) Varney. Mrs. Brown was a resident at the Medway Country Manor since 2001 and previously resided at her true home in Framingham for many years.

A homemaker for most of her life, she was an artist who loved working with dried flowers, oil paintings and creating eggshell pictures.

An avid gardener, Mrs. Brown enjoyed overseeing the plants and gardens at the Medway Country Manor. She had a great sense of humor, was sharp as a tack, and kept everyone on their toes right up until her passing.

She is survived by two sons, Arthur M. Brown Jr. and his wife, Maureen of Davie, FL and Ocean Park, ME and Paul W. Brown of Yarmouth, ME and her daughter, Deborah M. Clark and her husband, Gordon of Bellingham.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Andrew and Lisa Clark, Robyn (Brown) Surdell, and Arthur, Christopher, Michael and Kevin Brown, thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Sean Brown, six sisters and one brother.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, June 30 in the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 11:00 a.m. Calling hours will be held from 10 - 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, Beulah would want you to kindly plant a tree or perennial in your own yard to enjoy in her memory.
