Mary Ruth Rosenthal, 83, Clarksville, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Louder officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 19, 1926 in Roane County, TN. She was the daughter of Thomas Abraham Carter and Allie Mae Martin Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie Rosenthal; two sisters, Margaret Carter Baker and Thelma Carter Gouge and a brother Thomas A. Carter. Survivors include two sisters, Madge Carter Hamby of Florence, AL and Elena Sue (Joseph) Strasser of Nashville, TN. She is also survived by several nieces.
