Rose M. (Dodero) Lombardi, 88 years, of Brockton died Saturday June 27, 2009 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Michael A. Lombardi, Sr. She was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Froio) Dodero and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
For many years she worked in the garment industry in Brockton at various manufacturers. In her free time she enjoyed gardening at her summer residence at Swifts Beach in Wareham. She also loved cooking and baking for her friends and family.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael A. Lombardi, Jr. of Brockton and Louis J. Lombardi and his wife Chris of E. Bridgewater; four grandchildren, Linda Azanow, Laurie Lombardi, Patricia Tibnam and Sharon Politano; 8 great grandchildren; her twin sister Teresa Grebauski Brockton and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Pat and James Dodero, Louise Anania and Carmella DeRito.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-8pm.
