Frances (Ziff) Liberty 0f Roslindale and formerly Chelsea passed away June 26, 2009. She was 87 years old. Born in Chelsea, MA she lived in Chelsea most of her life. Frances was educated in Chelsea schools and graduated from Chelsea High School.
Frances retired from the State Division of Employment Security. Frances was a member of the City of Hope and the Golden Age Club, Chelsea. She belonged to the Salvation Army Auxiliary. Frances was also involved with the Y.W.H.A. in Revere and Chelsea.
She was the devoted mother of Bennett Liberty, Tema Liberty, Harris Liberty, and Paul Liberty. Dear sister of the late Henry Ziff, Bertha Lerner, Dorothy Freedman, and Morris Ziff. Loving Grandmother of Sarah and Jake Liberty and Vika and Samuel Hartley.
A Chapel Service will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave.,Cary Sq.,Chelsea on Sunday June 28, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Onikchty Cemetery, Rt 99 in Melrose. Memorial observance Sunday following interment and Monday 5-9 PM at the home of Paul and Liz Liberty and Tuesday 5-9 PM at the home of Tema Liberty and Robert Hartley. In Lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Hebrew Senior Life, 1200 Centre St., Roslindale, MA 02131.
