Elizabeth L. Harris, “Betty” 67, of Halifax. Died on June 24, 2009 at her home. She was born in Cambridge, and is a graduate of Braintree High School. She worked as a hairdresser, while raising her three children. Betty then went to work at New England Art in Abington until retirement. She worked in various departments including proofreading, customer service, and the sales department. She had many professional hobbies including photography, pen and ink sketches, oil painting, and computer graphics. She was always continuing her education, and was enrolled in many different courses. She also loved spending her time with her family and friends.
Wife of the late William J. Harris. Loving mother of Debbie Paul of Plymouth, Dan Mitchell of Halifax, and the late Donald Mitchell. Daughter of John and Elizabeth (Donovan) Wetmore. Step Daughter of the late Albert F. McDonnell. Sister of Robert Wetmore of VA. Grandmother of Ashley Paul, Matthew Mitchell, Brittany Mitchell, Rebecca Mitchell and Jessica Mitchell. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 2nd at 11:00AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. Internment will be at the Center cemetery in Pembroke.
