Conrad J. Laflamme 84, of Eddie Dowling Hwy. died Monday at Pine Grove Health Center. He was the husband of the late Edna R. (Laplante) Laflamme for 51 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Francois and Irene (Doucette) Laflamme. He resided in North Smithfield for over fifty years.
Mr. Laflamme was a teacher in the Woonsocket School System and retired in 1980. He held Master Degrees from URI and Boston University. He served in the US Army during WWII, in the radio and communications field while stationed in France and Germany.
He was an avid traveler, and along with his wife, visited all seven continents.
He is survived by two daughters, Elise L. Laflamme of Woonsocket, and Colette Laflamme of N. Scituate, a nephew Paul Belhumeur of PA, a sister Gertrude Laflamme of Woonsocket, , and five grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Edmond, Lionel, and Viviane Laflamme.
A Committal Service will be held Wednesday July 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM in St. Paul's Cemetery in Blackstone.
