RAULERSON - Lucille Raulerson, 90, passed away Thursday morning, June 25, 2009 at her Yulee residence. She was born July 18, 1918 in Pearl River County, MS. She lived in Okeechobee City, FL for over 40 years where she was employed by the Sheriff’s Department and moved to Yulee, FL in 1990 from Wiggins, MS. She was faithful Christian and a member of Yulee Baptist Church. Mrs. Raulerson loved the Lord and her church family. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed feeding people and making them feel at home. She had a saying, “We’ll treat you so many ways you have to like one of them!” She was an active person and loved sewing, quilting and putting puzzles together. Her family members describe her as a loving, devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Leo Raulerson who passed away in 1992 and a daughter, LaRita Kepp who passed away in 2007. Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Dale Greene (Al) of Yulee, FL, Paulette Davis, also of Yulee and Karen Reams (Ron) of Franklin, NC; a son, Robert Raulerson (Cherie) of Fernandina Beach, FL; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Yulee Baptist Church with Reverends, Tom Keisler and Michael Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Green Pine Funeral Home.
