AUBURN-Gerald Joseph Sullivan, 61, of Auburn, died Tuesday, June 23rd in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. His wife of 25 years, Carla J. (Peterson) Sullivan, died in 2003. He leaves two sons, Rick Phillips and his wife Caroline of Brookfield and Sean T. Sullivan and his wife Erika of Charlton; his sister, Maureen wife of Brian Chanley of Worcester; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Scott and Adam Phillips, all of Brookfield and Alexis Sullivan of Charlton.
Mr. Sullivan was born in Worcester, the son of Joseph Harold and Mildred L. (Peterson) Sullivan. He was a 1966 graduate of South High School. Mr. Sullivan had worked 25 years for Grasseschi Plumbing and Heating as a licensed plumber until his retirement in 2008. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Panama during the Vietnam era. Mr. Sullivan was a member of St. Joseph’s Church; enjoyed camping and was an avid sports enthusiast.
The funeral is Monday, June 29th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Sunday, June 28th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
