Mary V. (White) “Winnie” of Reading passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009. She was 88 years of age.
Born in Reading, Winnie was the daughter of the late Annie and Edward White. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all.
Winnie was an avid Reading High School Sports Fan. Winnie was a homemaker who also worked in the Reading School System for many years. She was a Middlesex Tennis Champion for singles and doubles.
Winnie was the beloved wife of the late Andrew J. Lomax. She was the Devoted mother of Marjorie McMahon and her husband Daniel of Reading, Kathy Carlin and her husband Steven of Tewksbury and the late James Lomax. Winnie was the Cherished grandmother of Bobby, Laura, Lynda, Kim, Lisa, Michael, Andrew, Emily, Michael and Jimmy. She was the Great grandmother of 17 and great great grandmother of 1. She was Predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. Winnie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrating Winnie’s life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading Saturday at 9am.
