WEBSTER - Edward J. Girouard, 84, of Hillside Ave., died Sunday, June 21, after an illness..
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Florence M. (Cloutier) Girouard; 2 daughters, Deborah A. Walker and her husband Paul of Oxford and Donna M. Callahan and her husband Daniel of Winchendon; a brother, Roland Girouard and his wife Barbara of Dudley; 4 grandchildren, Mark and Michael Walker, Angela Batt and her husband Daniel, and David Charubini; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Kupic and by a brother, Robert Girouard.
He was born in Webster, the son of Leon and Lea (Cusson) Girouard and was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Girouard worked in various positions in the dye house at Cranston Print Works Company for 45 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, June 24, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main Street. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 23, in the funeral home.
