Richard P. Parent, 62, of Jackson Schoolhouse Road, Pascoag died Monday, June 15, 2009. He was the husband of Lucille (Blais) Parent.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of Raymond Parent of Manville and the late Therese (Leduc) Parent. He had been a resident of Pascoag for 31 years.
He was a sales engineer for Electro Standards Lab in Cranston. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the Navy. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Pascoag.
Besides his wife and father he is survived by his children; Gregg Parent of Putnam, CT and Michelle Laney of Pascoag, his three grandsons, a granddaughter and a brother, Normand Parent of Woonsocket.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 10am in St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation respectfully omitted.
