Laurent R. Cote, 66 of Log St. in Smithfield, died Saturday in the Hebert Nursing Home. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Donat and Cecile (Degrandpre) Cote. Mr. Cote was a milk receiver for Garelick Farms for twenty years before retiring. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by three sons Christopher, Jamie and Dean Cote all of Kansas, three sisters Jeannine Laplante of Woonsocket, Beatrice Patenaude of Florida, and Madeleine Montejo of Freeport, ME, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Donat J. Cote Jr.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Agatha's Church, Joffre St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 6-8 PM.
