Hunter, Drew Brian, 29, died June 4, 2009 in a kayaking accident in Vail, Colorado, his home for the past three years. Born in Tortola, BVI, he spent his childhood in Marshfield, MA, graduating from Marshfield High School in 1999. He pursued his love of flying at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, where he received a BS in aviation. He began his career at Chicago Express and later joined Shuttle America, where he flew as Captain on an Embraer-170.
Drew is the beloved son of Jeremy and Gail Hunter, loving brother to the late Anjuli Hunter and the adored fiancé of Jenna Seoane, also from Marshfield.
Drew’s gift was his passion for life, which he shared with so many friends and fellow adventurers as well as his genuine love and respect for people from all walks of life. He lived every moment to the fullest.
He is lovingly remembered by his Grandpa Peter, many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and fellow pilots. We are all comforted knowing that his precious sister Anjuli and Grandmother Jean join him in watching over us, and by the knowledge that he died doing something he loved.
The Celebration of Drew’s Life will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, June 21st, at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 842 Tremont Street (Route 3A) in Duxbury, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Drew to The Molly Fitzgerald Memorial, Dandelion Park, PO Box 1292, Marshfield, MA 02050. Volunteer assistance is also appreciated.
