Edward J. Goodwin,of Raynham died Thursday June 11 at the Deaconess Beth Israel Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was 65. The son of the late John C. and Ruth (Bennet) Goodwin, he was born and raised in Berkley before settling in Raynham 30 years ago. He was employed as a Union Sprinkler Fitter for many years. Mr. Goodwin was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was also enjoyed carpentry. He was the brother of the late John F., James Michael, and Mary Elizabeth Godwin. He is survived by his loving wife Marcia (Collins) Goodwin,his children Edward Goodwin Jr. of Florida,and Gidget Bolin of Florida, his step-children Christine Cannistraro of Acton, Robert and his wife Valerie Cannistraro of Bridgewater, Vincent and his wife Sylvia Cannistraro of Nashua, and John Cannistraro of Sandwich, and his sisters Joan and her husband John Lopes of Somerset, Carol and her husband Gary Marshall of Berkley, and Lynda and her husband Gary Lapine of West Brookfield. He is also survived by his grandchildren Josh, Jacob, Stephanie, Joey, Stephanie, Brandon, Julia Louise, and Rachel and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Monday at 7p.m. at the Taunton Funeral Home, 8 Crapo St. (off Tremont St.) Relatives and friends invited to attend.
