THOMPSON - Lionel V. Laramee, 99, formerly of 110 Main St. in the North Grosvenordale section of Thompson, died Thursday, June 11, at Matulaitis Nursing Home, Putnam, after an illness. His first wife of 29 years, Irene (Blaszczak) Laramee, died in 1965. His second wife of 35 years, Lucile (Langlois) Laramee, died in 2001.
He leaves two sons, Richard D. Laramee, Sr. of Shrewsbury, MA and Ronald Laramee of Punta Gorda. FL; a daughter, Jacqueline Williams of Ladera Ranch, CA; 8 grandchildren, Linda, Richard Jr., Christopher, Monica, Michael, Gina, Lisa and Gary; and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
He was born in Canada on August 10, 1909, son of William and Catherine (Allard) Laramee. He moved to the United States in the 1920's. He lived in Worcester for 25 years before moving to Thompson, CT, in 1961. He served in the United States Army during peacetime.
Mr. Laramee worked for the Table Talk Pastry Company in Worcester for more than 20 years before retiring in 1973.
The funeral will be held Thursday, June 18, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St., Webster. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. A calling period will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Thursday, June 18, in the funeral home.
