FALL RIVER … Betty Ann (Marshall) Souza, 62, of Fall River died March 26, 2009.
She died at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Fall Rive a daughter of the late Alice (Cabral) Marshall Galland and the late Manuel “Cowboy” Marshall and the stepdaughter of the late Edgar Galland and had been a life long resident of this city.
She attended Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Fall River.
She was employed by the Fall River School System, as a teacher’s assistant at the Slade School retiring in 1990 after 15 years.
Mrs. Souza was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School. She received an Associates Degree from Bristol Community College, and attended the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Her hobbies include crocheting and she was an avid bingo player.
Survivors include a son Scott Gerald Souza of FL, 2 granddaughters: Terra-Rae and Lezzy Paige Souza of FL, 3 aunts Verna DeSouto, Tillie Dussault, and Margie Botelho, and cousins.
