Obituary

RAYLEEN NICOLE LESCAY-BERGERON-a Longtime Winthrop resident, who also resided in Lynn and South Boston, passed away on June 9, 2009. She was 25. She was the beloved daughter of Annemarie (Koutrouba) and Michael Bergeron of Lynn. Loving granddaughter of Lorraine and Peppi Lescay of Winthrop. Loving sister of Rebecca Lescay of Winthrop, Anthony Bergeron of Lynn, Michael and Luke Bergeron of NH, and George Lescay of Winthrop. She is also survived by many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Rayleen attended the Winthrop schools and later went onto the Northeast Metro Tech High School in Wakefield and attended a year of college. Rayleen was a bright, loving, outgoing, and caring young woman who made friends wherever she went. She is most known for her never ending smile, a positive attitude for life, and was comforted by her close network of friends throughout her illness. She worked on the Kerry campaign and belonged to the Partners for Youth with Disabilities, Spina Bifida Association where she met and made many friends. Prior to her illness from cancer she was independent and happily living in South Boston and worked at the Breakheart Reservation where she touched many hearts. After her disease progressed she lived with her loving and caring parents in Lynn. She will be missed by her family and the many lives she had touched.
