Herder, Therese Ursula, affectionately called "Oma" by her loved ones, passed away Thursday night at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital at the age of 75.
She was born in Landshut, Germany on December 1, 1933. Oma was raised a devout Catholic and passed her faith and experiences down to her family. An inspiration to all, Oma was a strong woman and always fought for her beliefs, her family and for her life.
She is survived by her husband William, and her three daughters Susan, Sandy, and Mary (Mike). Oma was blessed to have three grandchildren in her life, Tony (Becca), Michael (Amy), and Trina, as well as two great-granddaughters, Kate and Natalie. Oma was predeceased by her parents, Ursula and Joseph Ostermeier and daughter, Elizabeth.
Visitation will be Sunday 1-8pm and after 10am on Monday, with the funeral service being held at 1pm at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
