Loving father of Alan Perry & his wife Stacy of IL, and Kathy Benowitz & her husband Jeff of NJ. Dear grandfather of 7 grandchildren. Cherished brother of Robert of Marshfield, Richard of Dorchester, and the late Virginia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John was an accomplished pianist with a focus in jazz music. He studied music at Tufts University.
