Adele Goldberg (Mazonson) of Peabody and formerly of Everett died on June 11, 2009. She was the beloved wife of 51 years of David Goldberg.
Adele was born in Malden and attended the Malden schools and high school before graduating from the Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. She was also attending classes at Salem State College.
Adele was a comptroller for Didix Educational Materials in Rowley, MA. Adele was very active in the community as a member of several organizations including Women’s League at Temple Ner Tamid, Hadassah, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and the Explorers Club of Salem. She was very active in the youth program and Temple Ner Tamid and was a past member of the Board of Trustees at Temple Ner Tamid. Along with being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Adele was an avid golfer and mah jong player and enjoyed aerobics.
Adele was the devoted mother of Susan Karloff and her husband Jeff, and Dr. Mark A. Goldberg and his wife Nancy. She was the loving daughter of the late David and Mildred Mazonson. She was the loving grandmother of Rachel, Sarah, and Kalah.
Services at Temple Ner Tamid, 368 Lowell St., Peabody on Friday, June 12 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Peabody. Memorial observance at her late residence on Friday following interment until sundown, Saturday from 8-10 PM, and Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday from 1-5 PM and 6-10 PM.
