Michelle A. (Vilt) Chevrette 53, of Iron Mine Hill Rd, died Tuesday at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Normand Chevrette. Born in Coal City, IL, she was a daughter of Robert and Marcienne (Frappier) Vilt. Michelle was a floral designer in the family business of Fontana's Flower Shop for thirty five years. She was an avid tennis player and golfer, and was a member of Fore Court Tennis Club in Cumberland and Alpine Country Club in Cranston. Michelle was an exceptional homemaker, and took great pride in her home and caring for her family. She also excelled in craft work arts and painting, and generously shared her knowledge and talents with family and friends.
Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by a son Daniel Chevrette of North Smithfield, a daughter Angelique Joly of Woonsocket, a step-daughter Jessica Benedict of San Diego, CA, two brothers; Gregory Vilt of Blackstone, Tony Vilt of Woonsocket, and two sisters; Elise Goulet of Woonsocket, and Rosanne Hayden also of Woonsocket.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be Friday 5-8PM.
