McCloskey, Elizabeth (nee Hammond), in her 102nd year, of Ridgefield Park, NJ and formerly of Ridgefield, NJ and North Bergen, NJ died on Wednesday, June 10, 2009.
Beloved wife of the late James E. McCloskey. Dear Aunt of Rev. Joseph McCloskey, S.J., Peter McCloskey and his wife Louise, Margaret Ferguson and her husband Gerald and Kathleen Chambers and her husband John.
Elizabeth was a long-time teacher for the Fairview, NJ public school system. She was a member of the New Jersey Retirees’ Education Association, the Bergen County Retired Educators Association and the Teaneck Women’s Club.
Friends and family are invited for visitation at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ today, June 11 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral service will begin Friday, June 12 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, and then to St. Francis RCC in Ridgefield Park for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at Lombardy Cemetery in Wilmington, DE.
