In Stoughton, of Broadway in Raynham and Highland Street in Taunton, June 9, 2009 William A. “Bill” Murby husband of Louise (Reed) Murby died at Kindred Hospital in Stoughton at the age of 82. Born and educated in Taunton, William was the son of the late Edward and Isabel (Lodge) Murby. William was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a charter member of the American Legion, life member of the Taunton Lodge of Elk’s and a member at Point Independence Yacht Club in Onset. William was the former owner of the Raynham Par 3 Golf Course and driving range, Buccaneer Lounge, Raynham Drive Inn, Raynham Toy Store and Raynham Music all on Rt 138 in Raynham also owned many former Penny Arcades. William was the father of Debra Correia of No. Dighton and William Murby Jr. of Lancaster NY. Grandfather of Peter Cardin of Raynham, Melissa Peltier of Wareham, William Murby III of Westfield, Megan and Patrick Murby of Lancaster, NY. and great grandfather of four grandchildren. Brother of Mary Hudson of Taunton and the late Francis Hall, Edward and Raymond Murby. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington Street in Taunton Saturday June 13th at 8:30 am. Funeral Mass at St. Ann’s Church in Raynham at 9:30 am. Calling hours will be on Friday from 5-8 pm. Interment Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham.
