Lawrence J. Guerra, a longtime Charlestown resident, died on Wednesday June 3, 2009 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. He was 70 years old.
Larry was born in Cambridge. He enlisted into the United States Navy in 1956 and served his country during the Vietnam Conflict and was discharged in 1960. Larry had been employed as a painter for many years, working for Billy Pizzurro of Charlestown.
Larry is the beloved father of Lawrence and Edward Guerra both of Billerica. He is a close friend and associate of Billy Pizzurro of Charlestown. He is the beloved son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Sullivan) Guerra.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for Larry on Tuesday June 9, 2009 from 4 to 6 p.m. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Cremation will take place on Wednesday.
