Lawrence, MA- Sister Bella Marie Michaud, 91, died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Lawrence, Sister took the religious name Ann Marie Theresa following her religious profession for the Order of Grey Nuns. Sister was active in and had been a member of the Legion of Mary. She was still active as a Eucharistic Minister, and a rosary maker. Sister Bella was a former attendant of Sacred Heart Church prior to its closing.
She was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Assumption Church.
Sister Michaud is survived by siblings, Lionel and his wife Rose Michaud of Methuen, Ida and her husband Charles Beaulieu of Salem, NH, Rachel Voiland of Methuen, and Frances and her husband Eugene LeBlanc of Florida.
Three cousins Doris Bauters of Pelham, NH, Jean Tisbert of Tewksbury, and Carol Knowton of South Lawrence and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Archie and Martial Michaud sisters: Lucille Pomerleau, Rita Wallace Deacy Theresa Beauchesne, Dorothy Lamontagne and Joan Lafontaine.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. in Methuen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Lawrence with burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
