
Methuen, MA- Georgianna A. (Arsenault) Pienta, 93, died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen, surrounded by those she loved.
Born in Chelsea, MA to John and Mary (Myers) Arsenault, Gorgianna moved to Lawrence with her family where she was educated at St. Anne’s Grammar School.
For 25 years Georgianna worked as a Mechanical Assembler at western Eclectic of North Andover. Georgianna was a communicant of St. Monica’s Church. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, and playing 45’s, but most importantly, spending time with her family whom meant the world to her.
The widow of the late Edward Pienta, Georgianna is survived by her three children, Edward Pienta, Jr. of Methuen, Doris Skeirik and her husband George E. of Methuen, and Sandra Bentham also of Methuen. She also leaves behind one sister, Doris Choquette of Salem, NH, five grandchildren, Jeffery, Frank, Derek, Gina and Phillip, one great- grandchild Lillie as well as several nieces and nephews 3 stepgrandchildren and 5 step greatgrandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by her brother, Arthur Arsenault and sister Hilda Gagnon as well as two step sisters, Irene and Ida.
A special thank you to all the people at Nevins Nursing Home who were very caring during her stay there.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence, St. Methuen. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock in St. Monica’s Church with Burial to follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
