Attilio C. Pescatore, 89 of Somerville, died Thursday at the Somerville Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Umberto and Teresa (Pucillo) Pescatore. Mr. Pescatore was the beloved husband of Elizabeth D. (Nardizzi). Known as “Tilo” to his friends and family, he worked for many years as a truck driver with M&M Transpotation Co. formerly of Somerville, and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 25. Mr. Pescatore enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Dante Club in Somerville for many years.
In addition to his wife Elizabeth, he is survived by one daughter, Terry Christopher and her husband Richard of Somerville, and one son, Paul Pescatore and his wife Peggy of Uzbekistan. He is also survived by grandchildren, Lisa Duffy, Richard Christopher and great grandchildren, Nicholas Christopher, Paul, Jacquelyn and Conlin Duffy. Brother of Ralph of Somerville, Nicholas of Cape Cod, Anna Santorelli of Melrose, the late Philip, Louis, James and John Pescatore. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 79 Warner St. Somerville, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 3 thru 8. Service will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
