Obituary

Dominick Marotti, 87 years of Brockton died June 7, 2009 surrounded by his family at the Brockton Hospital. He was the loving husband for 69 years of Louise S. (Rivard) Marotti. Born and raised in Holyoke, MA, Mr. Marotti was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Gianini) Marotti. He had been a resident of East Hartford, CT for 45 years and had been employed as a Gas Cutter at Acme Tank and Welding Co. for 42 years. For the past 23 years he had been a resident of Brockton, most recently living at Caffrey Towers.
During WWII Mr. Marotti served in the US Navy and was stationed in Oakland, CA. In his free time he enjoyed following the stock market, woodcarving, horse racing and boxing. He especially enjoyed baseball and had been a Dodgers fan since 1932. Mr. Marotti will be remembered as being a loving and prayerful person who was a devoted family man. He treasured time spent with his wife and excursions with his daughter.
Mr. Marotti was the devoted father of June Chin and her husband The Honorable Richard Chin of Brockton and the late Dominick L. Marotti. He was the cherished grandfather of Larry Marotti, Kim Strano, Laurie Sayers and Jamie Chin and the late Nicholas and Kenneth Marotti. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Seth, Joshua and Christina Strano, David, Matthew, Brittany, Ryan, Jason and Adam Marotti and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lawrence and Joseph Marotti.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in Christ The King Parish at 10 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8 pm.
