Robert Lincoln Drew of Plymouth formerly of Scituate, died on June 5th at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth at the age of 86. He was the former husband of Barbara Wason and Virginia L. Rufle. Father of David Wason Drew, Carolyn Shepherd Drew and Lydia Lincoln Drew. Step-Father of Amy Spelman Hung. Grandfather of Julianna Drew O'Sullivan and Jordan Wason O'Sullivan. Step-grandfather of Katie and Jeffrey Hung. Brother of Betsy Drew of Plymouth, and the late Cynthia Drew Sampson. Robert was born on October 8, 1922 in Pembroke to the late Ralph L. Drew and Marion T. Shepherd. He worked at the Plymouth Cordage Company and still lived in a Cordage Home, in Plymouth. He retired as a Mechanical Engineer. Robert was a life long member of the Plymouth Yacht Club, where he enjoyed sailing his Beetle Cat Boat, and was a member of the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants. Robert was a Veteran in the Army serving in the 5th Bomb Squadron and the 9th Bomb Group, in which he received the; Air Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. A memorial service will be held on Sunday June 14th at 3pm at the Unitarian Church in the Brewster Chapel in Plymouth.
