GLOUCESTER: Clementina K. “Tina” Souza, 81, of Starknaught Heights, died unexpectedly on Saturday evening in the Addison Gilbert Hospital. She was the beloved wife of John P. “Jack” Souza.
Born in Lawrence on December 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Louise (Andrews) Souza. She had resided in Gloucester since 1963.
She was an avid reader and loved to sing. Through the years, she enjoyed caring for their numerous pets which included cats, dogs and birds. Deeply devoted to her family, she and Jack shared a wonderful marriage. Her sense of humor and laughter will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband of nearly forty-seven years, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Len Lesperance, with whom she shared a close relationship, a grandson, John Christopher, husband of Katherine Segrest, a granddaughter, Rebecca, wife of Ryan Rhoden and two great-grandchildren, John and Emma Segrest all of Windermere, FL. She also leaves two sisters, Anne Szczuka of Marblehead and Mary Batista of Milford.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday morning in the Calvary Cemetery at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.
