Obituary

Mr. Edward L. "Babe" Bernard, 86, of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Saturday, June 6th, 2009 at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center in North Andover, Massachusetts.

He was born in Lawrence, MA., on March 2nd, 1923 to the late Arthur C. and Mary (Bouchard) Bernard. Mr. Bernard was a graduate of Lawrence High School and was an attendant of Sacred Heart Church and Saint Patrick Church both in Lawrence, MA.

Edward worked as a Union Carpenter, Local 111 in Methuen Massachusetts at various jobs in and around the Merrimack Valley area. He was proud to say that he had help build the Seabrook Plant in Seabrook, New Hampshire. He was also a member of the Carltonville Neighborhood Association in Lawrence, MA.

Edward loved to Dance and had an infectious laugh, he enjoyed a good game at 45's and would love to work on different puzzles in the newspapers. He loved his wife and she was the light of his life.

His family members include:

His wife of 54 years: Mrs. Theresa M. (Lariviere) Bernard

His Brother: Andrew and his wife Mary of Methuen, MA.

As well as several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother to the late: Edna McEvoy and Napoleon Bernard

His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 11th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Patrick's Church in Lawrence, MA.

Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover, MA.
