Diamantina (Botelho) Dias, 78, a resident of Fall River since 1980, passed away in Fall River June 6, 2009. She was the wife of the late Eduardo Dias. Born in Fernais Da Luz, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Joao & Maria Da Jesus (Lima) Botelho. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Dias worked as a Thread Cutter for Shelbourne Shirt Co and was a parishioner of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by 4 children: Maria Margarida Cabral of Laval, Quebec, Canada; Antone D. Dias of Fall River; David Dias & Jose Eduardo Dias both of Brampton, Ontario, Canada. 1 sister: Maria dos Anjos Ourique of Fall River. 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, & several nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Palmira Pereira and sister of the late Manuel Lima Botelho & Joao Lima Botelho.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. TUESDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling Hours MONDAY 5-9 P.M.
