Margaret Collins Leverett, 89, of Adel died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Memorial Convalescent Center in Adel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Chris Newbern will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Members of the family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 7, 2009, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Leverett was born on September 25, 1919 in Colquitt County and was the daughter of Robert Ollie Collins and Martha Alice Hall Collins, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Washington Henry Leverett; three brothers, Hayward Collins, C. T. Collins, W. A. Collins; and one sister, Lessie Alderman. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God in Tifton
Mrs. Leverett is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Charles and Linda Leverett of Dawson, Crawford and Melba Leverett of Tifton and Jerry and Betsy Leverett of Winter Haven, Florida; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Edward Morris of Adel; four sisters, Floy Rayburn of Social Circle, Christine Moore of Marietta, Loretta Wilson of Adel and Janette Story of Arabi; and 10 grandchildren, Stan Leverett of Stryker, Ohio, Debbie Rayburn of Soperton, David Leverett of Jacksonville, Florida, Bruce Leverett of Tifton, Jan McIntyre of Ocala, Florida, Ronald Chatting of Tifton, Robert Chatting of Tifton, Richard Chatting of Macon, Tommy Leverett of Winter Haven, Florida, Wendy Leverett of Winter Haven, Florida.
