Mary K. “Mae” Healy, 98, passed away at the Wilmington Health Care Center on June 5th, 2009. She was born in Somerville on July 3rd, 1910 to her parents James and Mary (Dean) Houston. Mary has been a resident of Medford for most of her life. For many years she worked as a sales clerk at Woolworth’s Department Store in Medford. She has been a member of the First Community United Methodist Church in Medford for several years. Mary is survived by her daughter, Marylou Anderson and her husband Bruce of Tewksbury; by her grandchildren, James P., Stephen A. and Christina L. Anderson; by her great grandchildren, James K., Katelyne E. and Ashley A. Anderson; by her great-great granddaughter Emily Elizabeth; and by her sister Flora Hambrecht and her husband John of Medford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband James P. Healy and by her siblings Alexander Houston, Elizabeth Allen, Sarah Semon and Catherine Hackett. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday June 8th at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday June 7th from 4-8 PM.
