Michael Strickland LaMotte, 71, of Macon, Georgia, died April 20, 2009 at the Coliseum Medical center in Macon.
Graveside services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, June 20 in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald with Chaplain Richard Garvey officiating and with full military honors from Fort Benning Honor Guard.
Mr. LaMotte was born February 19, 1938 in Ben Hill County to the late Norman G. and Nell Cason LaMotte. He grew up in Clayton County, GA and moved to Macon in 2001 from Redding, PA. Mr. LaMotte was a retired medic, serving 27 years in the United States Army. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Hapeville.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Patricia Pagni and children, Michael, Mark and Glenn Pagni all of Ill; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas S. and Willa Dean LaMotte of Monticello, FL; grandchildren, Michael Pagni, Jr. of WI, Dustin, Destiny, Brock and Brandon Pagni all of Ill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Macon Rescue Mission, 774 Hazel St., Macon, GA 31201.
