Phyllis M. (Moran) Crane, age 77, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2009 at Saints Medical Center in Lowell after a brief illness. For 58 years, she was the beloved wife of Harold E. Crane.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 3, 1932, the daughter of the late Herbert and Marion (Dougherty) Moran. Phyllis was a longtime resident of Lowell and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Parish.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed in customer service with Jordan Marsh on Merrimack Street in Lowell for 15 years.
Phyllis enjoyed traveling and spending time with her loving family, especially her granddaughter.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Ellen Crane of Lowell and Jeanne and Gerald Fitzgerald of Lawrence; two sons, Richard Crane of Dublin, NH and Timothy Crane of Austin, TX; a sister and brother, Joan Keeler and Walter Moran, both of Long Island, NY; her beloved granddaughter, Olivia Mikayla Crane - Lane of York, ME; also many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Herbert Moran and Jeannette McKay.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation and all services will be held privately.
