METHUEN – Barbara A. (Bamforth) Delehanty 72 died Tuesday June 2, 2009 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital.
Born and educated in Methuen, MA, she was the daughter of Frank and Ellen (Buckley) Bamforth and was a graduate of Tenney High School with the Class of 1954. For several years she was a secretary in the Methuen School System before her retirement.
She was a member of the American Legion Post # 122 Ladies Auxiliary where she was the past president, and also member of the Methuen Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling especially to Disney World with her family.
She leaves her husband of 45 years, Thomas J. Delehanty of Methuen. 3 children Lynn A. Cool and her husband Richard of Methuen, Sue Ann LeBlance of Framingham, MA and Thomas M. Delehanty and his wife Kelly of Nashua, NH.
5 grandchildren Brandi Sue LeBlance, Crystal M. Cool, Brendon LeBlanc, Alyssa Lynn Delehanty and Nathan Thomas Delehanty.
