Rose C. (Gianquitto) Hoebeke, 98, widow of the late Robert Hoebeke who died in 1990, died Sunday in Lowell with her loving family by her side.
Born in Malden, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Gianquitto. Mrs. Hoebeke was educated in the Malden schools and attended Boston University.
Mrs. Hoebeke was a homemaker and an avid gardener at her home in Medford where she lived for seventy years and for the past two years she resided in Westford. She was a ham radio operator and was a Lieutenant in the Massachusetts Civil Air Patrol where she ran the North East Emergency Radio Network.
Mrs. Hoebeke is survived by a son and daughter in law, Richard J. Hoebeke and his wife Barbara of Westford; eight grandchildren, Michelle Delano, Danielle Jezak, Nicole Funaro, Joseph, Alice, Alicia, Steven And Eric Hoebeke; six great grandchildren, Ryan and Natalie Delano, Jack and Jason Funaro, Daniel Dionne and Joshua McDermott.
Mrs. Hoebeke was also the Mother of the late Robert A. Hobeke and the grandmother of the late David Hoebeke.
HOEBEKE- Relatives and friends may call on Thursday evening from 4 until 8 pm at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST. (Rte.38), Lowell, MA. Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday morning at 9 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, No. Chelmsford. Private Burial.
